TRANSFORMATION OF THE POST-INDUSTRIAL AREA OF MODETA JIHLAVA

The subject of this thesis is an architectural and urbanistic study of the transformation of the textile factory Modeta in Jihlava. The result is the design of a multifunctional social facility and its integration into the so-called Stříbrné údolí (Silver Valley) site and the overall urban structure of Jihlava. The proposal is divided into two main stages in connection with the city’s current needs. The first stage uses existing premises without major construction interventions and investments. The second stage deals with the detailed design of the multifunctional building and the urban design of the site, particularly in relation to the nearby zoological garden.
Multifunctional building object

The diploma thesis deals with the processing of project documentation. Specifically, the parts A, B, C, D.1.1 and D.1.3 of Annex 6 to Regulation No. 499/2006 Coll., On construction documentation, as amended by Decree No. 62/2013 Coll. The documentation refers to Multifunctional building object which contains seven apartments, space for commercial use and collective garages with automatic parking system. The plot is located in the city Hradec Králové. The building has four above ground floors and one underground floor. Apartments in second and third floor are equipped with spacious terraces which are created by decreasing of width of building. Roof is solved as walkable green roof with entrance from the staircase space. Foundations are made as concrete belts. Vertical load bearing structures are created by lime sand blocks and reinforced concrete columns. The structure of ceilings is designed as monolithic reinforced concrete with cantilevered part where thermal insulating prefabricated panels should be placed.

This thesis focuses on the transformation of the existing area of the former textile factory Modeta in Jihlava.It also addresses its broader relationships, accessibility and integration into the city’s urban structure. The aim of this work is to create a multifunctional object which will use its local potential and become an important social part of Jihlava. The proposal is divided into two stages that reflect the city’s current requirements. The first stage solves the concept of the existing area in its current state without major construction interventions while using its existing premises. The second stage proposes a detailed design of the multifunctional precinct and an urban solution of the discussed site with a connection to the zoo grounds.
Multipurpose Town House on Křížová Street, Brno

The aim of this Diploma Thesis was the design of multipurpose town house located on Křížová Street, Brno with the significant housing part, but also with areas for administration offices and commercial use. The project focuses on new attempt and concept of inner part of the block, as well as on connection into the existing historical urban structure. A new multi-storey monolithic house with seven floors and glass façade was designed. Commercial area is located in the parterre of the house, second floor is used for offices and the roof (7th floor) gives attractive place for a café. The rest of the house (3rd to 6th floor) has a dwelling purpose. Diploma Thesis copes with the function of yard and underground parking place, as well.
New town hall for the district Brno-North

The subject of this diploma thesis is a project of a new town hall for the district of Brno - sever. Current town hall is situated in the inconvenient building on the Bratislavská street and few decentralised offices are located in separate places. The project should solve current problems as well as to follow current trends in contemporary town hall design. Town halls of these days must cover many functions, not only the accommodation of local government, but also to be the actual centre of the town - the centre of culture, economy and services. The new town hall building is located on corner plot of land in the compound of old Brno Černá Pole barracks. The building provides leasable commercial units as well as office space for the municipal government.

The master’s thesis solves the design and creation of project documentation for the construction of new multifunctional building on parcel 399/30 in the cadastral area Uherské Hradiště - Mařatice. This building plot is intended for construction and is owned by the town of Uherské Hradiště. The location is located in close proximity to the block of flats Pod Svahy. The enclosed building documentation is made in accordance with applicable laws, decrees and standards. Designed multifunctional house is a multipurpose building with one underground and five above ground floors. Basement areas serve as collective garages and backroom areas for residential units. The first floor has a commercial use with cafes, design offices, copy center and a hairdresser. Other above ground floors serve as permanent accommodation in the form of thirteen residential units. A reinforced concrete monolithic skeleton is designed as a support system. The roof is made in the form of a flat roof. The object is based on a base plate.
Multifunctional Building in Ledeč nad Sázavou

This thesis concerns the design documentation multifunctional house in Ledeč of the town. The building has four floors and no basement.The building is designed as a brick building from Porotherm in plan a rectangular shape with a flat roof. Roofing will be made of soft PVC gray. The ground floor will be located premises for commercial purposes and the other three floors will be used for accommodation. The house is located on undeveloped land with the ground plane. On land will also be established with a capacity of 36 parking lots for cars.
